White Christmas Mojito Recipe

  • Author: Noah
  • Total Time: 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Description

The White Christmas Mojito is a refreshing tropical twist on the classic mojito cocktail, blending the tartness of key lime juice with the creamy richness of coconut milk, enhanced by fresh mint and rum. Topped with vibrant pomegranate seeds, this festive drink offers a perfect balance of sweetness and zest, ideal for holiday gatherings or a relaxing summer sip.

Ingredients

Scale

For the Mojito

  • 1 oz Nellie and Joe’s key lime juice
  • 3 sprigs fresh mint (2 for garnish, 1 for muddling)
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 2 oz rum
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut milk
  • Ice cubes

For Topping

  • Pomegranate seeds

Instructions

  1. Muddle Mint Leaves: Place one sprig of fresh mint into your serving glass and gently muddle it to release the aromatic oils and flavors without tearing the leaves. Then, add a generous amount of ice cubes to chill the glass.
  2. Shake Cocktail Mixture: In a cocktail shaker, combine ice, 1 oz of key lime juice, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 2 oz of rum, and 1 1/2 cups of coconut milk. Secure the lid and shake vigorously until the mixture is well chilled and the sugar has dissolved.
  3. Pour and Garnish: Strain and pour the shaken mixture over the ice in the prepared glass. Garnish with the remaining two sprigs of fresh mint and sprinkle pomegranate seeds on top for a festive touch and a burst of color.

Notes

  • For a stronger lime flavor, use freshly squeezed key lime juice instead of bottled.
  • Adjust the sugar quantity based on your preferred sweetness level.
  • Use coconut milk with no added sugar to control sweetness and ensure a creamy texture.
  • Crushed ice can be used for a more traditional mojito texture.
  • For a non-alcoholic version, substitute rum with sparkling water or a non-alcoholic rum alternative.
