Description

A refreshing and vibrant Sunrise Strawberry Mimosa Cocktail that combines the sweetness of fresh strawberries and orange juice with bubbly Prosecco, finished with a touch of grenadine and orange bitters for a perfect brunch or celebratory drink.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 750 mL Prosecco, chilled
  • 2 1/2 cups orange juice
  • Grenadine (about 1/2 teaspoon per glass)
  • Orange Bitters (a couple dashes per glass)

Fruits & Garnishes

  • 8 ounces strawberries, stem removed (about 2 cups)
  • Orange slices, for garnish
  • Strawberries, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Blend Strawberries and Orange Juice: Place the strawberries and orange juice in a blender and pulse until the mixture is smooth. To ensure a silky texture, strain the mixture through a mesh sieve, removing seeds and pulp.
  2. Add Grenadine: Pour about 1/2 teaspoon of grenadine into the bottom of each of 4 champagne flutes. This will create the beautiful sunrise effect in the cocktail.
  3. Fill with Strawberry-Orange Mixture: Pour the strained strawberry and orange juice mixture into each glass, filling them about halfway. This forms the fruity base of the mimosa.
  4. Top with Prosecco and Bitters: Gently fill the rest of each glass with chilled Prosecco to add effervescence. Then, add a couple of dashes of orange bitters on top to enhance the citrus flavor and balance the sweetness.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Add a slice of orange and a strawberry on the rim of each flute for a decorative and flavorful touch. Serve immediately and enjoy your Sunrise Strawberry Mimosa Cocktail!

Notes

  • For best flavor, use fresh, ripe strawberries and freshly squeezed orange juice.
  • Adjust the grenadine quantity to taste for sweetness and color intensity.
  • Orange bitters add complexity but can be omitted if unavailable.
  • Chill all liquids thoroughly before preparing the cocktail for an optimal refreshing experience.
  • This recipe yields 4 servings.
  • Great for brunch, celebrations, and warm weather gatherings.
