Description

This Pizza Monkey Bread is a fun and delicious twist on traditional pizza. Biscuit dough or pizza dough is mixed with cheese, pepperoni, and seasonings, then baked into a savory pull-apart bread perfect for sharing.

Bread:

  • 2 cans (16 oz each) Refrigerated Biscuits, like Pillsbury Grand, or 2 lbs of pizza dough

Cheese Mix:

  • 1 cup freshly grated mozzarella
  • 1 cup freshly grated provolone
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan

Additional Ingredients:

  • 6 ounces pepperoni (thinly sliced)
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • Marinara Sauce
  • Fresh Basil
  • Additional Grated Parmesan
  • Red Pepper Flakes
  • Olive Oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Spray a 10-inch Bundt pan with cooking spray.
  2. Cut dough: Cut the biscuit dough rounds into quarters. If using pizza dough, cut it into thick 2-inch chunks.
  3. Mix ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the biscuit dough pieces, three cheeses, pepperoni, garlic, Italian seasoning, and melted butter. Mix until well blended.
  4. Bake: Scoop the mixture into the prepared bundt pan, bake uncovered for 20 minutes, then cover with foil and bake an additional 15-25 minutes until cooked through.
  5. Finish and serve: Turn the bread out onto a plate, invert onto a platter, brush with olive oil, sprinkle with Parmesan, red pepper flakes, and basil. Serve warm with marinara sauce.
