  • Author: Noah
  • Total Time: 45 minutes
  • Yield: 24 sliders 1x

Description

These Philly Cheesesteak Sliders are a delicious, easy-to-make appetizer or meal featuring savory ground beef cooked with peppers and onions, combined with creamy cream cheese, layered on slider rolls, topped with provolone, and baked to melty perfection. Perfect for game days, parties, or a fun family dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Meat & Vegetables

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1 sweet yellow onion, diced

Seasonings & Dairy

  • 1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 6 ounces provolone cheese, thinly sliced

Bread & Topping

  • 24 slider rolls
  • 4 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to prepare for baking the assembled sliders.
  2. Cook beef mixture: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef, diced onion, and diced green bell pepper. Cook, breaking apart the meat with a spatula for 8-10 minutes until the beef is fully cooked and the vegetables are tender. Drain excess grease thoroughly.
  3. Season and combine: Stir in garlic powder, salt, ground pepper, and onion powder into the cooked beef mixture. Then add the softened cream cheese and mix well until combined and creamy.
  4. Assemble sliders: Slice the slider rolls horizontally and place the bottom halves in a 9×13-inch baking dish. Evenly spread the beef mixture over the rolls, then top with thinly sliced provolone cheese. Place the top halves of the rolls on the sliders to cover.
  5. Prepare topping and brush: Mix melted butter with garlic salt. Use a knife to cut between each slider to create separate portions. Brush the butter and garlic salt mixture generously over the tops of the rolls.
  6. Bake sliders: Bake in the preheated oven for 20-30 minutes, until the sliders are heated through and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Serve warm.

Notes

  • Drain the cooked beef well to avoid soggy sliders.
  • For extra flavor, you can add sautéed mushrooms or switch to Italian rolls if preferred.
  • You can make these sliders ahead of time and refrigerate before baking, just add an extra 5 minutes to baking time if chilled.
  • Use softened cream cheese for easy mixing into the hot beef.
  • Brush the butter mixture generously to get a golden, flavorful crust on top.
