Description

A delicious and elegant Lobster Avocado Toast recipe combining creamy mashed avocado, tender lobster meat, and a hint of spice from jalapeño, served on toasted baguette slices. Perfect for a gourmet breakfast or light lunch.

Ingredients

Scale

Avocado Mixture

  • 2 Avocados
  • 1/4 Lemon (juiced)
  • Fine Salt to taste

Toast

  • 4 slices Baguette

Toppings

  • 4 ounces Lobster meat, chopped
  • 1 Jalapeño Pepper, sliced or chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh Chives, chopped
  • Extra-Virgin Olive Oil to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocado: Slice the avocados in half lengthwise, remove the pits, and scoop the flesh into a bowl. Add the juice of 1/4 lemon and a good pinch of fine salt to taste, then mash with a fork until relatively smooth. Set aside briefly.
  2. Preheat Broiler and Toast Bread: Preheat your oven broiler on high. Slice the baguette into 4 slices if not already sliced. Arrange the slices on a baking sheet and broil for 1-2 minutes per side until they become golden and toasty.
  3. Prepare Lobster: Chop the cooked lobster meat into small bite-sized pieces.
  4. Assemble the Toasts: Spread a thick layer of the mashed avocado onto each toasted baguette slice. Top each with the chopped lobster meat. Sprinkle with finely chopped jalapeño and fresh chives evenly.
  5. Finishing Touch: Drizzle each toast with extra-virgin olive oil to enhance flavor and richness.
  6. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately to enjoy the contrast of creamy avocado, fresh lobster, and crunchy toast.

Notes

  • Use ripe avocados for the creamiest texture.
  • If you prefer less spice, reduce or omit the jalapeño.
  • Cooked lobster can be substituted with crab or shrimp if desired.
  • Be careful while broiling; bread can burn quickly under high heat.
  • Fresh chives add a nice mild onion flavor; substitute with green onions if unavailable.
