Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 Hawaiian rolls
- 8 ounces ham, thinly sliced
- 4 ounces provolone cheese, sliced
- 3 ounces thinly sliced pepperoni
- 3 ounces thinly sliced salami
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 2 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
Grinder Salad
- 8 ounces shredded lettuce
- 1/2 cup diced tomato
- 1/2 cup sliced pepperoncini peppers
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
Instructions
- Preheat the oven: Set your oven to 350˚F to ensure it reaches the perfect temperature for baking the sliders evenly.
- Prepare the rolls: Slice the Hawaiian rolls horizontally. Place the bottoms of the rolls in a baking dish to create a base for layering your ingredients.
- Layer the meats and cheese: Place the provolone cheese evenly over the bottom rolls. Next, layer the ham, pepperoni, and salami on top of the cheese. Once layered, cover everything with the tops of the rolls and carefully cut between each slider to separate them while keeping them together.
- Make the topping and bake: In a small bowl, combine the butter, grated parmesan, garlic powder, and salt. Spread this mixture evenly over the tops of the slider sandwiches. Bake in the oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops of the rolls are golden brown.
- Prepare the grinder salad: While the sliders bake, whisk together the mayonnaise, red wine vinegar, Italian seasoning, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder to create the dressing. Toss the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and sliced pepperoncini peppers with this dressing until well combined.
- Assemble and serve: When the sliders are done baking, remove the tops of the rolls, add the prepared grinder salad evenly over the sandwiches, then replace the tops. Serve the sliders immediately while warm for the best taste and texture.
Notes
- For extra flavor, consider adding a drizzle of Italian dressing or a sprinkle of crushed red pepper flakes to the grinder salad.
- Use fresh Hawaiian rolls for the best texture; day-old rolls may not soften as nicely during baking.
- Feel free to substitute or add other Italian meats like capicola or mortadella to customize the sliders.
- If you prefer a less rich salad, substitute some or all of the mayonnaise with Greek yogurt.
- These sliders can be assembled ahead of time and baked just before serving to save prep time.
