Ingredients
Scale
Sliders
- 12 slider rolls
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 onion, diced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 6 slices American cheese
- 1 tablespoon ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 12 dill pickle slices
Topping
- 2 tablespoons butter, melted
- 1/8 teaspoon garlic salt
- 1/2 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350˚F (175˚C) to prepare for baking the sliders later.
- Cook Beef and Onions: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and diced onion and cook, breaking apart the beef and stirring regularly until fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Drain any excess grease, then stir in the Worcestershire sauce. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Assemble Sliders: Carefully split the slider rolls horizontally. Place the bottom halves of the rolls in a baking dish. Layer the cooked ground beef evenly over the bread, then top with American cheese slices and dill pickle slices.
- Prepare and Add Top Rolls: Spread ketchup and mustard evenly over the inside of the top halves of the rolls. Place these on top of the assembled bottom halves to form complete sliders.
- Butter and Season Tops: Stir garlic salt into the melted butter until dissolved. Using a brush, evenly coat the tops of the slider rolls with the garlic butter. Sprinkle sesame seeds over the top if desired.
- Bake: Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the cheese has melted and the tops of the rolls turn golden brown. Remove and serve warm.
Notes
- Use fresh slider rolls or Hawaiian rolls for the best texture and flavor.
- You can substitute American cheese with cheddar or your preferred melting cheese.
- For spicier sliders, add a dash of hot sauce to the beef mixture or to the sandwich spreads.
- Make sure to drain the grease from the cooked beef to avoid soggy sliders.
- The sesame seeds are optional but add a nice texture and flavor contrast.
- These sliders can be prepared ahead and assembled just before baking for convenience.
