  • 2 1/2 to 3 cups unsalted chicken stock
  • 1 Tbsp chicken base

  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

Optional:

  • 3 Tbsp heavy cream

Instructions

  1. Melt Butter: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, melt butter. Add flour and cook until lightly golden brown, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add Stock: While whisking, slowly pour in chicken stock. Stir in chicken base, onion powder, garlic powder, and paprika. Season with salt and black pepper.
  3. Simmer: Bring mixture to a light simmer, stirring constantly.
  4. Adjust Consistency: Thin with up to 1/2 cup more broth as needed.
  5. Finish and Serve: Stir in heavy cream if desired for a creamier gravy. Serve warm.
