- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 ½ tsp cajun seasoning
- 2 tsp olive oil
For the Pasta:
- 200 g (0.4 lb) tagliatelle
- Water
- Salt
- 1 tbsp unsalted butter
- 2–3 garlic cloves (minced)
- ½ (40g) yellow onion (diced)
- ½ (80g) red bell pepper (diced)
- 2 tsp concentrated tomato paste
- 1 cup (250 ml) heavy cooking cream
- 2–3 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1 tsp red pepper flakes
- 1 tsp dried parsley
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ½ cup Parmesan (freshly grated)
- 1 tbsp fresh basil (or parsley) (chopped)
- Salt (to taste)

Instructions
- Prep the Shrimp: Peel and devein fresh shrimp or ensure frozen shrimp are defrosted. Season with Cajun blend, smoked paprika, and lemon juice. Allow to marinate for 5-10 minutes.
- Cook the Shrimp: Heat olive oil in a pan, cook the shrimp until golden brown and crust forms, about 2-3 minutes per side. Remove from pan.
- Cook the Pasta: Boil salted water, cook tagliatelle al dente. Reserve 1 cup of pasta water.
- Prepare the Sauce: In the same pan, sauté garlic, onion, and bell pepper. Add tomato paste, cream, Cajun seasoning, parsley, smoked paprika, and Parmesan. Adjust salt.
- Combine: Add cooked pasta, shrimp, and basil. Mix well, adding pasta water. Turn off heat promptly.
- Serve: Garnish with basil and Parmesan. Serve with garlic bread.
