  • Total Time: 25 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Description

A festive and refreshing Cranberry Fizz Cocktail featuring a homemade cranberry syrup, cherry 7UP, and topped with cold Ogio Prosecco. Perfect for holiday gatherings and special occasions, this bubbly cocktail balances tart cranberry flavors with a sweet, fizzy finish.

Ingredients

Scale

Cocktail Ingredients

  • 1 cup cherry 7UP
  • 4 tbsp cranberry syrup (see recipe below)
  • Cold Ogio Prosecco, to top off each glass
  • 12 fresh cranberries, divided into 4 sets of 3
  • 4 toothpicks

Cranberry Syrup

  • 2 cups fresh cranberries
  • 1/4 cup cherry 7UP
  • 1/8 cup sugar

Instructions

  1. Prepare Cranberry Syrup/Chutney: Combine 2 cups fresh cranberries, 1/4 cup cherry 7UP, and 1/8 cup sugar in a small pot. Cook over medium heat for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the mixture reduces and thickens. Remove from heat and strain the liquid through a fine mesh sieve to separate the smooth syrup from the cranberry chutney. Reserve the chutney for a tasty appetizer if desired. Allow the syrup to cool for at least 15 minutes before using.
  2. Mix Cocktail: In a mixing cup, combine 1 cup cherry 7UP with 4 tablespoons of the cooled cranberry syrup. Stir gently to blend the flavors.
  3. Serve: Divide the cocktail mixture evenly between 4 chilled champagne glasses.
  4. Top Off and Garnish: Carefully top each glass with cold Ogio Prosecco to add fizz and sparkle. Skewer 3 fresh cranberries on each toothpick and place them atop the glasses as a festive garnish. Serve immediately and enjoy the refreshing cranberry fizz!

Notes

  • For best flavor, use fresh cranberries and chill your prosecco and glasses before serving.
  • The cranberry chutney left after straining can be served warm or cold as a delicious appetizer or condiment alongside meats or cheeses.
  • Adjust the sweetness of the syrup by increasing or decreasing the sugar amount based on your taste preferences.
  • This cocktail is best served immediately after adding prosecco to maintain the fizz.
