Scale
Slider Components
- 12 slider buns
- 12 slices of cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- Optional: hot sauce or ketchup for serving
Bacon
- 12 slices of bacon
Eggs
- 12 large eggs
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 1 tablespoon of olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) to prepare for baking the bacon.
- Prepare the Baking Sheet: Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. If available, place a wire rack on top to allow the bacon to cook evenly.
- Arrange the Bacon: Lay the 12 slices of bacon in a single layer on the foil-lined baking sheet or on the wire rack.
- Bake the Bacon: Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until the bacon is crispy and golden brown.
- Drain the Bacon: Remove the bacon from the oven and transfer it to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.
- Whisk the Eggs: Crack 12 large eggs into a large bowl, season with salt and pepper, then whisk until fully combined and slightly frothy.
- Heat the Pan: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter and 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat until melted and hot.
- Cook the Eggs: Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet and let them cook undisturbed for about 1 minute until the edges start to set.
- Scramble the Eggs: Gently stir the eggs with a spatula, cooking until they are just set but still slightly soft and creamy, approximately 3-4 minutes. Remove from heat.
- Prepare the Slider Buns: Slice the 12 slider buns horizontally in half. Optionally, toast them in the oven for added texture.
- Assemble the Sliders: On each bottom bun half, layer one slice of bacon, a scoop of scrambled eggs, and then one slice of cheddar cheese.
- Top the Sliders: Place the top half of the slider bun over the cheese layer to complete each slider.
- Preheat Oven for Melting Cheese: Lower the oven temperature to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Melt the Cheese: Arrange the assembled sliders on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 5-7 minutes until the cheese melts and the buns become slightly toasted.
- Serve: Remove from oven and serve immediately. Optionally drizzle with hot sauce or ketchup as desired.
Notes
- Customize Your Sliders: Add extras like avocado slices, sautéed spinach, or fresh tomato to enhance flavor and texture.
