- 500ml skimmed milk
- 4 apples, cored and diced
- 100g sultanas
- 1 tbsp brown sugar, to serve
Instructions
- Cook oats: Put the oats and skimmed milk into a small pan over medium heat. Cook while stirring continuously for about 3 minutes until the oats are almost creamy in texture.
- Add fruit: Stir in the diced apples and sultanas into the partially cooked oats. Continue cooking for another 2 minutes or until the porridge thickens, the apples become just tender, and the mixture is creamy.
- Serve: Ladle the porridge into bowls, sprinkle each with a tablespoon of brown sugar, and serve immediately for a comforting and delicious breakfast.
